Membership

New members are always welcome and no particular skills are required, we are always looking for volunteer Drivers, Guards, Station Staff, Signal Men, Track Workers, Kitchen help and ticket sellers, to enable the Railway to operate. Even if you can only commit time on a limited basis, please feel free to contact us. Membership is open to individuals or families.

Application to become a member is formal. If you wish to become a member there are a few ways you can obtain a form.  The most common is via an existing member whom you may know, if this member is prepared to sponser your application, they will pass your name, address, and  telephone number to the membership secretary who will post out a form for you to complete.

Alternatively, introduce yourself to members during rallies, public running or when they are in the park working, usually on Thursdays and Sundays  explaining that you are interested in the hobby and why you wish to join. 

Your completed form will be displayed on the club notice board for one month and the membership will vote on accepting or declining the application at the next  monthly meeting.

If the outcome is favourable you will be asked to pay the appropriate fee before membership is confirmed.
